Regular Season Round 8: Mladost - Leotar 102-85

The most important game in the last round took place in Mrkonjic Grad between third ranked Leotar (5-3) and sixth ranked Mladost (5-3) on Sunday night. Leotar was defeated by Mladost on the road 85-102. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Leotar. The game was mostly controlled by Mladost. Leotar managed to win third quarter 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Mladost looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Leotar's players. 25 personal fouls committed by Leotar helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Stefan Mijovic (197-95, agency: PEPI SPORT) orchestrated the victory by scoring 36 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 8 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Forward Aldin Muflizovic (200-92) contributed with 9 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Vladimir Aleksic (198-88) replied with 22 points and 7 rebounds and international point guard Marko Rikalo (187-94) added 19 points and 4 assists in the effort for Leotar. Leotar's coach Miro Vukoje rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Mladost have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Leotar. Mladost is looking forward to face league's second-placed Spars in Sarajevo in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Leotar will play at home against Promo and is hoping to win this game.
