Regular Season Round 10: Bursaspor - Gaziantep 87-106

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Gaziantep (4-6) rolled over on the road 7th ranked Bursaspor (5-5) 106-87 on Sunday. Gaziantep shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Bursaspor was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American guard Jason Rich (191-86) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 assists. Serbian power forward Stevan Jelovac (208-89, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. British center Gabriel Olaseni (211-91, college: Iowa) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and American guard Allerik Freeman (190-94, college: NC State, agency: Slash Sports) added 20 points and 9 assists in the effort for Bursaspor. Five Gaziantep and four Bursaspor players scored in double figures. Bursaspor's coach Serkan Erdogan rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Gaziantep moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Besiktas and OGM Orman. Newly promoted Bursaspor keeps the seventh position with five games lost. Gaziantep will face bottom-ranked ITU BB (#16) in Istanbul in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
