A very close game took place in Kayseri between Kayseri and Botas. Seventh ranked Kayseri (4-2) got a very close home victory over 9th ranked Botas (2-5). Kayseri managed to escape with a 3-point win 61-58 on Sunday evening. American swingman Shacobia Barbee (179-94, college: Georgia) fired 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Her fellow American import guard Kennedy Burke (185-97, college: UCLA) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Kayseri players scored in double figures. The former international center Quanitra Hollingsworth (196-88, college: VCU) produced 8 points and 14 rebounds and international Cansu Koksal (185-94) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Kayseri moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Elazig. Botas lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with five games lost. Kayseri will meet Cukurova (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Botas will play against Cankaya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
