Very predictable result when second ranked Socar Petkim (7-2) beat on the road 15th ranked Samsun (1-8) 73-60 on Wednesday. Socar Petkim dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Samsun's 16. Socar Petkim forced 19 Samsun turnovers. The best player for the winners was Hakan Yapar (202-84) who scored 17 points and 6 assists. Guard Recep Dogrusoz (192-86) chipped in 15 points. Four Socar Petkim players scored in double figures. Socar Petkim's coach Arda Vekiloglu used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was North Macedonian center Predrag Samardziski (215-86, agency: BeoBasket) who recorded 8 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Oguzhan Sungur (205-91) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Socar Petkim have a solid series of four victories in a row. They used an opportunity after Fethiye lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Samsun lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth place with eight games lost. Socar Petkim will face Duzce Belediye (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Samsun will play against Konyaspor and hope to win that game.
