Regular Season Round 8: Sibiu - Craiova 72-60

An interesting game for Sibiu (5-3) which hosted in Sibiu 4th ranked Craiova (3-5). Third ranked Sibiu managed to get a 12-point victory 72-60. Sibiu outrebounded Craiova 38-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American-German forward Isaiah Philmore (203-89, college: Xavier) who scored that evening 17 points and American guard Jordan Chatman (196-93, college: Boston Coll.) supported him with 18 points. Sibiu's coach Dan Fleseriu used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 14 points and 9 rebounds by American Monyea Pratt (196-85, college: Stillman) did not help to save the game for Craiova. His fellow American import guard Porter Troupe (196-83, college: Portland, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points and 4 assists for the guests. Four Craiova players scored in double figures. Sibiu maintains third position in Nationala with 5-3 record having five points less than leader Cluj Napoca. Loser Craiova dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. Sibiu will meet Steaua B. (#5) in the next round. Craiova will play against Timisoara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
