Regular Season Round 19: Gargzdu - Taurages 93-81

Rather predictable result when ninth ranked Gargzdu (8-9) won against 12th ranked Taurages (5-13) in Gargzdai 93-81. Gargzdu players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-85, college: Virginia) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Deividas Anuzis (183-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Five Gargzdu players scored in double figures. Forward Rytis Biliartas (201-91) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Tadas Sebeziovas (183-85) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Gargzdu moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Perlas. Taurages lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Gargzdu's next round opponent will be Palanga (#12) at home. Taurages will play against Neptunas-Akv. and hope to win that game.
