Regular Season Round 11: Arad - Targu Mures 80-38

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Arad as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Nationala. Arad smashed 5th ranked Targu Mures at home 80-38. Arad dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Targu Mures' 26. Arad forced 26 Targu Mures turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Targu Mures' players. The best player for the winners was Serbian power forward Jefimija Karakasevic (191-89) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Adela Mercea (170-85) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Arad players scored in double figures. Arad's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Brittney Dunbar (173-93, college: Weber St.) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and Andreea Feises (-99) added 9 points respectively for the guests. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Targu Mures at the other side keep the fifth place with six games lost. Targu Mures will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Arad will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Targu Mures on the road.
