Regular Season Round 10: Chernomorets - Balkan 79-88

NBL top team - Balkan (9-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked Chernomorets (1-9) in Burgas 88-79. Balkan players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The former international swingman Kris Minkov (199-94) notched 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and Montenegrin center Mihailo Sekulovic (205-91) supported him with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 13 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists by Serbian center Milenko Veljkovic (217-95) did not help to save the game for Chernomorets. American point guard Jamaal King (178, college: St.Francis, PA) added 26 points and 6 assists for lost side. Five Balkan and four Chernomorets players scored in double figures. Balkan have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 9-1 record, which they share with Levski Lukoil. Chernomorets lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Yambol. Balkan will play against Academic (#5) in Sofia in the next round. Chernomorets will play on the road against Rilski (#4) in Samokov to get more than just one victory in their record.
