Regular Season Round 11: Amager - Horsens IC 70-97

An interesting game for Horsens IC (9-2) which played road game in Kastrup against 4th placed Amager BK (1-8). Third ranked Horsens IC had an easy win 97-70. Horsens IC outrebounded Amager BK 48-29 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Horsens IC made 8 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for international Frederik Rungby (199-93) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Montenegrin guard Boris Vukicevic (190-98) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four Horsens IC players scored in double figures. Australian power forward Louis Timms (206-91, college: Wayland Baptist) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Jonathan Klussmann (190-2) added 9 points and 6 assists respectively for Amager BK in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Horsens IC maintains third place with 9-2 record having just four point less than leader Randers. Newly promoted Amager BK keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Horsens IC will meet Svendborg (#5) on the road in the next round. Amager BK will play against the league's leader Randers and hope to win that game.
