An interesting game took place in Giessen where higher ranked s Oliver Baskets (6-5) were upset on the court of thirteenth ranked Giessen 46ers (4-6) 91-87 on Saturday. Giessen 46ers looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for center John Bryant (211-87, college: Santa Clara) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. Matt Tiby (203-92, college: Milwaukee) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Giessen 46ers players scored in double figures. Point guard Cameron Wells (186-88, college: Citadel) responded with 21 points and 5 assists and guard Skyler Bowlin (190-89, college: Missouri So.) scored 17 points and 5 assists. s Oliver Baskets' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Giessen 46ers moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Bayreuth and Fraport SKY. Loser s Oliver Baskets dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Giessen 46ers will face league's leader Bayern Muenchen at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
