Regular Season Round 20: Perlas - Ezerunas 88-86

Important game to mention about took place in Vilnius. Eighth ranked Perlas (9-9) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Ezerunas (10-9) 88-86 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ezerunas. Perlas forced 23 Ezerunas turnovers. The winners were led by guard Augustas Marciulionis (192-2) who scored that evening 22 points and 8 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and power forward Einaras Tubutis (205-98) supported him with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Four Perlas players scored in double figures. Even 21 points, 9 assists and 5 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) by point guard Dominykas Zupkauskas (186-96) did not help to save the game for Ezerunas. Center Ignas Lukosius (202-93) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Perlas moved-up to sixth place. Ezerunas at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Perlas will play against higher ranked Suduva-Mantinga (#3) in Marijampole in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ezerunas will play on the road against Vytis in Sakiai and hopes to get back on the winning track.
