Regular Season Round 11: Oberhaching - Baunach 85-73

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Baunach (7-4) against eleventh ranked Oberhaching (3-8) on Saturday night. Visiting Baunach was defeated by Oberhaching in Deisenhofen 85-73. Oberhaching dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Baunach's 42. They outrebounded Baunach 32-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for center Moritz Wohlers (203-84, college: MSUB) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Naturalized British point guard Justin Hedley (191-96) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized Croatian Mateo Seric (204-99) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Brandon Tischler (198-0) scored 12 points. Baunach's coach Mario Dugandzic let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Oberhaching maintains eleventh place in South with 3-8 record. Loser Baunach keeps the third position with four games lost. Oberhaching will face again higher ranked Baunach (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
