Regular Season Round 12: Langenhagen - Wolmirstedt 83-82

There was a change at the Regionalliga leadership position after last games. Round 12 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Wolmirstedt (9-2). They were edged by sixth ranked Langenhagen (7-4) 83-82 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Wolmirstedt. Langenhagen dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Wolmirstedt's 34. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Devon Moore (193-89, college: JMU) who helped to win the game recording 37 points (!!!) and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and point guard Arthur Zaletskiy (183-94) who added 11 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Jordan Talbert (198-91, college: Missouri So.) with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and British power forward Deji Adekunle (209-92, college: Keiser, agency: Players Group) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Five Wolmirstedt players scored in double figures. Langenhagen have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Neustadt TSV. Wolmirstedt at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Ansbach. Wolmirstedt will play next round against Vechta-2 trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Langenhagen will try to continue on its current victory against thirteenth ranked Weser Baskets in Neustadt.
