Date: December 7, 2019
The game between third ranked Bandirma (8-3) and sixth ranked Galatasaray (7-4) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Bandirma was crushed by Galatasaray in Istanbul 91-70. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Bandirma. Galatasaray forced 20 Bandirma turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Alex Poythress (203-93, college: Kentucky) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points. Greek-American center Zach Auguste (208-93, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. American center Emanuel Terry (206-96, college: Lincoln Memorial) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import Omar Prewitt (201-94, college: William & Mary) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Galatasaray maintains sixth place with 7-4 record. Bandirma at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Tofas. Galatasaray are looking forward to face Buyukcekmece (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bandirma will play against Afyon Bld (#13) and is hoping to win this game.
