Regular Season Round 13: Kirchheim - Ehingen 76-65

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifteenth ranked Kirchheim Knights and 16th ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule had identical 3-8 record. This time Kirchheim Knights used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Allmendingen 76-65 on Saturday night. Kirchheim Knights made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Strangely Ehingen/Urspringschule outrebounded Kirchheim Knights 37-25 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for American point guard Dajuan Graf (185-92, college: NC Central) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Keith Rendleman (203-90, college: UNCW, agency: HMS) contributed with 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Kirchheim Knights players scored in double figures. Center Akim-Jamal Jonah (211-98, college: San Diego) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and American Erik Scheive (208-97, college: Chaminade, agency: Players Group) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Ehingen/Urspringschule. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kirchheim Knights (4-8) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Schalke and Karlsruhe PS. Loser Ehingen/Urspringschule dropped to the fifteenth position with nine games lost. Kirchheim Knights will face higher ranked Walter Tigers (#7) in Tuebingen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ehingen/Urspringschule will play at home against Nuernberg (#4) having rather not much hope for a victory.
