Regular Season Round 12: Wulfen - Hertener Loewen 82-80

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked BSV Wulfen (6-9) edged at home higher ranked Hertener Loewen (9-6) 82-80 on Saturday. They outrebounded Hertener Loewen 45-34 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Bryant Allen (183-90, college: Dakota St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Hendrik Bellscheidt (193-90) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Dijon Smith (204-89, college: Ft.Hays State) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and Bosnian Semir Albinovic (201-91) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. BSV Wulfen moved-up to tenth place in West, which they share with Dorsten and Hagen BG. Loser Hertener Loewen keeps the fifth position with six games lost. BSV Wulfen will face higher ranked Grevenbroich (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hertener Loewen will play against Recklinghausen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
