Regular Season Round 11: TAC NEF - Pinar Karsiyaka 101-73

Very expected game when 8th ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (2-9) was smashed by second ranked TAC NEF (10-1) in Tarsus 101-73 on Saturday. TAC NEF dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Pinar Karsiyaka's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Pinar Karsiyaka's players. Cahit Kalkan (-2) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 5 rebounds. Berkay Civgin (-1) contributed with 8 points and 10 assists for the winners. Point guard Eray Buyukcangaz (196-4) answered with 22 points and 9 rebounds and Bosnian Asim Gutic added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Pinar Karsiyaka. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for TAC NEF. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fenerbahce and Tofas. Loser Pinar Karsiyaka dropped to the ninth place with nine games lost. TAC NEF will face Besiktas (#6) in Istanbul in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Pinar Karsiyaka will play on the road against Gaziantep and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
