Regular Season Round 11: TED Ankara - Gaziantep 92-61

No shocking result in a game when third ranked TED Ankara (8-3) crushed at home 6th ranked Gaziantep (4-7) 92-61 on Saturday. TED Ankara dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Gaziantep's 22. They outrebounded Gaziantep 44-23 including a 29-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. TED Ankara looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Center Cihat Dalgali (205-1) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Eyup Oncu (203-2) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four TED Ankara players scored in double figures. Yigit Hasar (-2) answered with 19 points and Ibrahim Yilmaz added 9 points in the effort for Gaziantep. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. TED Ankara maintains third place with 8-3 record having just two points less than leader Anadolu Efes, which they share with Bandirma. Loser Gaziantep keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. TED Ankara will face Darussafaka (#4) in Istanbul in the next round. Gaziantep will play at home against Pinar Karsiyaka and hope to win that game.
