A very interesting game took place in Muenster. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 4th placed Muenster (6-5) to sixth ranked SparkassenStars (6-5) 66-65 in the game for the fourth place. British guard Conner Washington (183-92) saved the victory by scoring 15 points. Guard Lars Kamp (187-96) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Helge Baues (205-94) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Jojo Cooper (183-95, college: Wagner) added 6 points and 7 assists in the effort for Muenster. Muenster's coach Phillip Kappenstein tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for SparkassenStars. They moved-up to fourth place in North, which they share with Muenster and Bernau. SparkassenStars will have a break next round. Muenster will play again on the road against SparkassenStars (#6) in Bochum and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
