Regular Season Round 10: Balikesir - Manisa 78-82

The most important game in the last round took place in Balikesir between third ranked Balikesir (6-4) and seventh ranked Manisa (6-4) on Saturday night. Balikesir was defeated by Manisa in a tough game at home 78-82. Manisa forced 21 Balikesir turnovers. Strangely Balikesir outrebounded Manisa 38-26 including 24 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Alican Guney (194-89) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Ozgur Sahin (190-93) contributed with 21 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American point guard Myles Mack (178-93, college: Rutgers, agency: HMS) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 14 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and guard Gokhan Aydin (191-95) added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Balikesir. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Manisa moved-up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Balikesir. Balikesir lost third consecutive game. Manisa is looking forward to face Final Spor (#6) in Bursa in the next round. Balikesir will play on the road against Samsun and is hoping to win this game.
