Regular Season Round 12: Karlsruhe SC - Langen 108-66

Very predictable result when top-ranked Karlsruhe SC (12-0) smashed at home 7th ranked TV Langen (5-7) 108-66 on Saturday. Karlsruhe SC shot 62.7 percent from the field. They also forced 20 TV Langen turnovers and had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Karlsruhe SC especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by TV Langen's players. Worth to mention a great performance of center Eyke Prahst (209-97) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and guard Aaron Schmitz (193-93) who added 17 points and 5 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) during the contest. Five Karlsruhe SC players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Ruben Spoden (202-89) with 11 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Christopher Edward (201, college: Concordia, OR) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Karlsruhe SC have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position in South-West with 12-0 record. TV Langen lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. Karlsruhe SC will face Idstein (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. TV Langen will play against BBU 01 Ulm (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
