Regular Season Round 12: Goetting.ASC - Bergedorf 100-69

Very predictable result in Goettingen where fourth ranked Goetting.ASC (8-2) smashed 10th ranked Bergedorf (3-8) 100-69 on Saturday. They outrebounded Bergedorf 44-26 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Goetting.ASC looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Bergedorf's players. Bergedorf was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Andrew Onwuegbuzie (192-95) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 assists and Philipp Sprung (195-94) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) during the contest. Goetting.ASC's coach Sebastian Foerster felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Leo Alban (198-99) with 16 points and 6 rebounds and forward Joscha Kolnisko (200-90) scored 11 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Goetting.ASC moved-up to third place in North. Loser Bergedorf keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Goetting.ASC will face league's leader ETV in Hamburg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bergedorf will play at home against Bramsche TuS (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
