Regular Season Round 12: Lemvig - Herlev 79-76

The most exciting game of round 12 in the Dameligaen took place in Lemvig. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Herlev (5-6) to seventh ranked Lemvig (1-9) 79-76 on Sunday evening. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 24-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian forward Sofia Paska (193-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and Austrian guard Julia Poecksteiner (177-93) who added 16 points and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was international forward Ellen Iversen (180-97) with 18 points and 9 rebounds and forward Emilie Larsen (175-1) scored 25 points. Lemvig maintains seventh position with 1-9 record. It was Herlev's fourth loss in a row. They dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Lemvig are looking forward to face higher ranked Vaerlose (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Herlev will have a break next round.
