Top ranked HAKRO Merlins (5-2) recorded its second loss on the court of fourth ranked Jahn Muenchen. Visitors were defeated by Jahn Muenchen 98-89. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of HAKRO Merlins. Jahn Muenchen forced 29 HAKRO Merlins turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Philipp Bode (179-1) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Point guard Vincent Kelnberger (190-1) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Jahn Muenchen's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian point guard Aleksa Kovacevic (190-2) answered with 27 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Jannis Hahn (190-1) added 29 points in the effort for HAKRO Merlins. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jahn Muenchen maintains fourth place in B South-East with 3-4 record. HAKRO Merlins at the other side still keep top position with two games lost. They share it with Young Tigers. Jahn Muenchen will play against league's second-placed Young Tigers in Tuenbingen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. HAKRO Merlins will play at home against the league's second-placed ratiopharm Ulm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
