Regular Season Round 7: Zaporizhye - K.Sokoly 102-87

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Zaporizhye's (4-8) home victory over bottom-ranked K.Sokoly (1-11) 102-87 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Zaporizhye. K.Sokoly was better in second period 28-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. K.Sokoly was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Brandon Randolph (188-95, college: Utah Valley, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. His fellow American import guard Lewis Stallworth (185-96, college: Citadel) helped adding 23 points and 5 assists. At the losing side American guard Kareem Jamar (194-92, college: Montana) responded with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Anton Musiyenko (192-97) scored 11 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. K.Sokoly's coach Evgeni Murzin rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Zaporizhye moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted K.Sokoly stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Zaporizhye will face higher ranked Khimik (#3) in Yuzhny in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. K.Sokoly will play at home against Mykolaiv (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
