The game between closely ranked teams ended with bottom-ranked Falcons' (0-5) road loss to sixth ranked Junior Loewen (3-4) 40-106 on Sunday. Junior Loewen dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Falcons' 22. Junior Loewen forced 37 Falcons turnovers and outrebounded them 51-30 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Jekabs Beck (205-1) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Miles Osei (197-2, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Junior Loewen players scored in double figures. Luca Daerr (194-3) produced 12 points and Serbian point guard Luka Stefanovic (188-2) added 7 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Junior Loewen moved-up to fifth place in A South, which they share with ROTH Energie. Falcons lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Junior Loewen will face higher ranked FC Bayern (#3) in Muenchen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Falcons will play on the road against the league's second-placed Akademie Muenchen (#2) and hope to get finally their first victory.
