Regular Season Round 11: Anadolu Efes - Darussafaka 99-82

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Istanbul: Anadolu Efes (#1) and Darussafaka (#4). Anadolu Efes (11-0) crushed visiting Darussafaka (6-5) by 17 points 99-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Darussafaka. Anadolu Efes dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Darussafaka's 48. Anadolu Efes forced 20 Darussafaka turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Forward Goktug Bas (201-1) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Eren Has (201-1) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Center Mahmut Celik (206-1) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and Said Yosmaoglu (-3) added 23 points in the effort for Darussafaka. Five Anadolu Efes and four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anadolu Efes have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-0 record. Darussafaka at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Anadolu Efes' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena FMV Isik BB.
