Regular Season Round 11: Tofas - Turk Telekom 80-68

An interesting game for Tofas (10-1) which hosted in Bursa 3rd placed Turk Telekom (7-4). Second ranked Tofas managed to get a 12-point victory 80-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Turk Telekom. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tofas made 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for forward Berkan Aksu (204-1) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Omer Peksari (194-3) accounted for 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. Emircan Soy (-1) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Batuhan Acar (-2) added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Turk Telekom in the defeat. Turk Telekom's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Tofas. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fenerbahce and TAC NEF. Loser Turk Telekom dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. Tofas will meet at home Afyon (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Turk Telekom will play against Banvit (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
