Regular Season Round 13: Bayer Giants - Schwenningen 90-81

Very predictable result when sixth ranked Bayer Giants (8-5) won against bottom-ranked BV Villingen-Schwenningen (3-9) in Leverkusen 90-81 on Sunday. Bayer Giants looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Colter Lasher (201-94, college: Houston Baptist) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 rebounds. Serbian guard Nino Celebic (191-91) contributed with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American forward Rasheed Moore (196-95, college: E.Stroudsburg) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard David Dennis (185-97, college: Nova SE) added 4 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for BV Villingen-Schwenningen. Four BV Villingen-Schwenningen players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Bayer Giants moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Heidelberg. BV Villingen-Schwenningen lost their fourth game in a row. BV Villingen-Schwenningen at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. Bayer Giants will face Uni Baskets (#9) in Paderborn in the next round. BV Villingen-Schwenningen will play at home against Schalke (#12) and hope to win that game.
