Regular Season Round 21: Jonava - Delikatesas 76-81

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Jonava (5-15) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Delikatesas (10-10) 81-76. Giedrius Stankevicius (207-96) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and international Andrius Globys (198-95) accounted for 21 points and 7 rebounds. Four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Center Martynas Pacevicius (204-97) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Martynas Linkevicius (197-85, agency: Agency) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Jonava in the defeat. Jonava's coach Nerijus Zabarauskas tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Delikatesas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ezerunas. Jonava at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Delikatesas' next round opponent will be Zalgiris II (#7) in Kaunas. Jonava will play on the road against Neptunas-Akv. (#4) in Klaipeda and hope to win that game.
