There was no surprise in Sofia where 7th ranked Cherno More (4-7) was crushed by second ranked Levski Lukoil (10-1) 100-60. Levski Lukoil outrebounded Cherno More 44-21 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Canadian forward Richard Amardi (206-90, college: Oregon) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Levski Lukoil players scored in double figures. American guard Jimmy Gavin (191-91, college: Winthrop, agency: 011 Sports) answered with 22 points and Serbian guard Koca Jovovic (187-93) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for Cherno More. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Levski Lukoil. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Balkan. Cherno More at the other side keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. Levski Lukoil will play against bottom-ranked Yambol (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cherno More will play against the league's leader Balkan and hopes to get back on the winning track.
