Very important is a home loss of third ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (11-5) against ninth ranked Deutzer (8-8) on Saturday night. Host Dragons Rhoendorf was edged by Deutzer in a tough game in Rhoendorf 96-99. Deutzer forced 19 Dragons Rhoendorf turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Dragons Rhoendorf was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Patrick Reusch (185-93) fired 28 points and 4 assists for the winners. Center Lennart Boner (206) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Deutzer's coach Nils Mueller let to play all 12 players in such tough game. American swingman Curtis Hollis (198-98, college: Hutchinson CC) produced 38 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 8 assists (made all of his twelve free throws !!!) and Slovenian power forward Jure Besedic (207-92) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Dragons Rhoendorf players scored in double figures. Deutzer moved-up to eighth place in West, which they share with Grevenbroich. Loser Dragons Rhoendorf dropped to the second position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
