Regular Season Round 12: Bochum - Muenster 67-73

The biggest surprise of round 12 in ProB was guest Muenster's (7-5) road victory over SparkassenStars (#6) 73-67 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of SparkassenStars. Muenster forced 22 SparkassenStars turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard Jojo Cooper (183-95, college: Wagner) who scored 20 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Stefan Wess (204-94) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Muenster's coach Phillip Kappenstein used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was British guard Conner Washington (183-92) who recorded 15 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and American center Zach Haney (211-96, college: Boise St.) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Muenster moved-up to fourth place in North, which they share with Bernau. SparkassenStars at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Rist Wedel. Muenster is looking forward to face higher ranked Itzehoe (#3) at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. SparkassenStars will play against SC Rist Wedel (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
