Regular Season Round 11: Samsun - Balikesir 66-86

15th ranked Samsun (1-10) was outscored at home by seventh ranked Balikesir (7-4) with the biggest margin this round 86-66 on Saturday night. Balikesir dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Samsun's 20. It was a great shooting night for Balikesir especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard Myles Mack (178-93, college: Rutgers, agency: HMS) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals. His fellow American import center Marvin Jefferson (206-86, college: Idaho, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 14 points and 13 rebounds. Four Balikesir players scored in double figures. Croatian guard Ante Delas (200-88) responded with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and forward Oguzhan Sungur (205-91) scored 18 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Balikesir moved-up to third place, which they share with Bandirma BK and Manisa. Samsun lost sixth consecutive game. Samsun at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the bottom position with ten games lost. Balikesir will face Duzce Belediye (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Samsun will play against Final Spor in Bursa and hope to win that game.
