Bottom-ranked Yalova Vip managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of two consecutive losses on Saturday night. This time they won against thirteenth-ranked Mersin Uni 78-69. The best player for the winners was guard Merve Usal (-94) who scored 26 points and 7 assists. Forward Gozde Yuruk (178-93) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Four Yalova Vip players scored in double figures. American forward Dekeiya Cohen (188-96, college: Baylor, agency: LBM Management) produced a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds and point guard Cisem Incel (172-94) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Yalova Vip (3-8) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Botas and Fenerbahce G. Loser Mersin Uni dropped to the fifteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Urla BLD. Yalova Vip will meet higher ranked Bursa BSB (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mersin Uni will play against the league's leader Emlak Konut (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
