Regular Season Round 9: Elazig - OGM Orman 105-76

The game between third ranked Ormanspor (6-2) and eighth ranked Elazig (5-3) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Ormanspor was crushed by Elazig in Elazig 76-105. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ormanspor. They outrebounded Ormanspor 43-32 including 34 on the defensive glass. Elazig shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Riquna Williams (170-90, college: Miami, FL) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 52 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. Czech-American power forward Kia Vaughn (193-87, college: Rutgers, agency: Wasserman) contributed with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Elazig players scored in double figures. American guard Arike Ogunbowale (173-97, college: Notre Dame) answered with 31 points and 4 assists and the other American import center Courtney Paris (191-87, college: Oklahoma) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Ormanspor. Elazig moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Kayseri and Cankaya. Ormanspor at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. Elazig is looking forward to face Botas (#10) in Adana in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Ormanspor will play at home against Besiktas (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
