The game in Pasvalys supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Rytas (9-5) played at the court of 7th ranked P.Zvaigzdes (5-9). Rytas smashed P.Zvaigzdes 93-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of P.Zvaigzdes. The game was mostly controlled by Rytas. P.Zvaigzdes was better in fourth quarter 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded P.Zvaigzdes 36-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Rytas shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was international power forward Martynas Echodas (205-97) who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Deividas Sirvydis (200-0) chipped in 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Rytas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Trevor Thompson (213-94, college: Ohio St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and Slovenian Miha Lapornik (193-93) added 13 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rytas maintains second place with 9-5 record having five points less than leader Zalgiris. P.Zvaigzdes at the other side keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Rytas' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Dzukija (#10) in Alytus and are hoping to win another game. P.Zvaigzdes will play on the road against Neptunas in Klaipeda and hope to win that game.
