Regular Season Round 9: Kayseri - Canik Belediye 73-58

Bottom-ranked Canik Belediye is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to sixth ranked Kayseri (5-3) 73-58 on Saturday evening. American guard Kennedy Burke (185-97, college: UCLA, agency: Wasserman) nailed a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and Croatian center Luca Ivankovic (201-87) accounted for 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Kayseri's coach Ayhan Avci used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Stephanie Madden (186-88, college: Langston) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and Aysu Keskin added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Canik Belediye in the defeat. Kayseri moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Cankaya and Elazig. Canik Belediye lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost. Kayseri will meet league's leader Fenerbahce in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Canik Belediye will play against Cankaya (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
