Regular Season Round 9: Cankaya - Cukurova 71-70

A very interesting game took place in Ankara. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 11th ranked Cukurova (2-7) to seventh ranked Cankaya (5-3) 71-70 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was American point guard Tan White (170-82, college: Mississippi St.) who scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Ozge Karatas (174-96, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Morgan Tuck (188-94, college: UConn) who recorded 24 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Spanish guard Leonor Rodriguez-Manso (180-91, college: FSU) added 16 points and 8 assists respectively. Cankaya moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Kayseri and Elazig. Cukurova at the other side keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost. Cankaya's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Canik Belediye (#13) in Samsun and are hoping to win another game.
