Regular Season Round 13: Bakken - Wolfpack 96-99

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Bakken (10-1) in Risskov on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by Wolfpack (6-6) 99-96. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Bakken. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 32-20 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Wolfpack made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Andreas Meilby (203-92) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American guard Javion Blake (190, college: Washburn, agency: Haylett Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. American guard David Efianayi (188-95, college: Gardner-Webb) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists and the other American import forward Ryan Evans (202-90, college: Wisconsin) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Wolfpack maintains first place with 6-6 record. Defending champion Bakken keeps the third position with one game lost. Wolfpack are looking forward to face EBAA (#3) in Aarhus in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Bakken will play at home against Naestved and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
