Regular Season Round 12: Pinar Karsiyaka - Darussafaka 84-78

Very expected game when 7th ranked Darussafaka (6-6) was defeated on the road by second ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (10-2) 84-78. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The winners were led by American power forward Jordan Morgan (203-91, college: Michigan) who scored that evening 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Tony Taylor (184-90, college: GWU) supported him with 18 points. Even 12 points and 9 assists by international guard Sinan Guler (192-83, college: Carroll, MT) did not help to save the game for Darussafaka. Hungarian-American power forward Jarrod Jones (207-90, college: Ball St.) added 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pinar Karsiyaka maintains second position with 10-2 record behind leader Anadolu Efes. Darussafaka at the other side keeps the seventh place with six games lost. Pinar Karsiyaka's next round opponent will be Besiktas (#9) in Istanbul and are hoping to win another game. Darussafaka will play at home against OGM Orman and hope to win that game.
