Regular Season Round 13: EBAA - Copenhagen 87-68

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Copenhagen (2-10) against fourth ranked EBAA (2-10) on Sunday night. Visiting Copenhagen was crushed by EBAA in Aarhus 87-68. It looked good early as Copenhagen took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then EBAA had a 23-17 second period charge getting the lead and Copenhagen was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-87. They outrebounded Copenhagen 48-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Keane Thomann (211-89, college: Missouri So.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Magnus Mollgaard (196-0) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. EBAA's coach Mads Sigersted used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Igor Bakic (195-0) answered with 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Filip Rajovic (198-97) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Copenhagen. EBAA moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Copenhagen. Copenhagen lost ninth consecutive game. EBAA will play against league's leader Wolfpack in Herlev in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Copenhagen will play at home against the league's leader Horsens IC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
