Regular Season Round 12: Agronomia - Alexandria 70-54

We should not miss a home victory of seventh ranked Agronomia (3-6) over 4th ranked Alexandria (3-7) 70-54. The game was mostly controlled by Agronomia. Alexandria was better in fourth quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Alexandria 50-27 including a 36-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Agronomia brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was American center Jordan Hawkins (188-97, college: Assumption) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 20 rebounds and 4 blocks. The former international forward Anca Sipos (185-85) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Agronomia players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Georgiana Voicu who recorded 13 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Catalina Craciunescu (166-2) added 10 points respectively. Agronomia moved-up to fifth place in Nationala. Alexandria at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Agronomia will have a break next round. Alexandria will play at home against Brasov (#3) and hope to win that game.
