Regular Season Round 13: EBAA - Bakken 65-92

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Aarhus. Third ranked Bakken faced 4th placed EBAA. Guests from Risskov (10-1) smashed host EBAA (2-10) 92-65. The game was mostly controlled by Bakken. EBAA was better in third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American-Guamanian forward Jonathan Galloway (208-96, college: UC Irvine) nailed a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side and American guard David Efianayi (188-95, college: Gardner-Webb) accounted for 19 points and 5 assists. Five Bakken players scored in double figures. Center Jonas Schaarup (203-93) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and American center Keane Thomann (211-89, college: Missouri So.) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for EBAA in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bakken have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. Defending champion maintains third place with 10-1 record having just three point less than leader Horsens IC which they share with defeated EBAA. EBAA at the other side dropped to the third position with ten games lost. Bakken's next round opponent will be Naestved (#4) at home. EBAA will play against the league's leader Wolfpack in Herlev and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
