There was no surprise in Bursa where 16th ranked Samsun (1-11) was defeated by sixth ranked Final Spor (7-5) 84-74. Final Spor shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The winners were led by American point guard Marlain Veal (175-96, college: SE Louisiana) who scored that evening 18 points and 9 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and forward Alparslan Uruk (199-88) supported him with 17 points. Four Final Spor players scored in double figures. Final Spor's coach Levent Erdogan allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists by Croatian guard Ante Delas (200-88) did not help to save the game for Samsun. Anil Sungur (-94) added 18 points and 8 rebounds. Final Spor moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Samsun lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Final Spor's next round opponent will be Duzce Belediye (#13) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Samsun will play against Manisa and hope to win that game.
