No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Titans (6-7) beat 10th ranked Oldenburg (4-9) in Dresden 90-82 on Saturday. Titans forced 21 Oldenburg turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for center Georg Voigtmann (213-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Lennard Larysz (193-97) contributed with 14 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Five Titans players scored in double figures. American guard Myles Stephens (196, college: Princeton) answered with 29 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Marcel Kessen (206-97) added 22 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Oldenburg. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Titans moved-up to seventh place in North, which they share with Rist Wedel. Loser Oldenburg keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. Titans will face higher ranked Itzehoe (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Oldenburg will play against Muenster (#5) and hope to win that game.
