The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked RSV Eintracht's (3-10) road loss to eleventh ranked Duesseldorf (5-8) 84-88 on Saturday. Duesseldorf looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Duesseldorf made 7 blocks. RSV Eintracht was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Lithuanian forward Dainius Zvinklys (203-90) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Brady Rose (190-96, college: Illinois Wesleyan) contributed with 21 points and 7 assists for the winners. Duesseldorf's coach Jonas Joenke used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Swingman Sebastian Fuelle (193-92) answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds and American center Diago Quinn (206-96, college: Monmouth) added 8 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for RSV Eintracht. Duesseldorf moved-up to ninth place in North. RSV Eintracht lost third consecutive game. RSV Eintracht at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. Duesseldorf will face higher ranked SparkassenStars (#6) in Bochum in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. RSV Eintracht will play on the road against SSV Lok Bernau (#4) and hope to win that game.
