Regular Season Round 13: BSW Sixers - Bernau 93-88

Rather predictable result when second ranked Sixers (9-4) won against 5th ranked SSV Lok Bernau (7-6) in Sandersdorf 93-88 on Sunday. Strangely SSV Lok Bernau outrebounded Sixers 32-18 including a 25-7 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. SSV Lok Bernau was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Ferdinand Zylka (190-98, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 assists. Point guard Marko Krstanovic (196-97) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. Sixers' coach Sebastian Ludwig used entire bench in such tough game. American forward Dan Oppland (203-84, college: Valpo) answered with 14 points and 9 rebounds and Malte Delow (198-1) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for SSV Lok Bernau. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Sixers maintains second place in North with 9-4 record having just two points less than leader Elchingen, which they share with Itzehoe. Loser SSV Lok Bernau dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Sixers will face Iserlohn (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SSV Lok Bernau will play against RSV Eintracht (#12) and hope to win that game.
