There was no surprise in Vienna where 11th ranked Raiders Tirol (3-11) was outplayed by seventh ranked Flames (7-6) 90-59 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Flames. Raiders Tirol was better in fourth quarter 18-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Flames forced 24 Raiders Tirol turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for naturalized Argentinian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Ben Seipt (196-96) helped adding 17 points and 4 assists. Four Flames players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Senegalese center Mansata Cisse (207-95) with 21 points and 8 rebounds and guard Stefan Oberhauser (190-92) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Raiders Tirol's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Flames maintains seventh place with 7-6 record. Raiders Tirol lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Flames will face higher ranked Worthersee Piraten (#6) in Klagenfurt in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Raiders Tirol will play at home against Nord Dragonz (#8) and hope to win that game.
