A very close game took place in Frankfurt between Braunschweig and Deutsche Bank Skyliners. Tenth ranked Braunschweig (5-5) got a very close victory on the road over 13th ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (4-7). Braunschweig managed to escape with a 1-point win 82-81 in the game for the tenth place. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Trevor Releford (183-91, college: Alabama) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and Austrian point guard Thomas Klepeisz (186-91) who added 12 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Joe Rahon (188-93, college: St.Mary's, CA) with 16 points and 7 assists and center Leon Kratzer (211-97, agency: BeoBasket) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Braunschweig and five Deutsche Bank Skyliners players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Braunschweig maintains tenth position with 5-5 record. Loser Deutsche Bank Skyliners dropped to the eleventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Bayreuth and Giessen 46ers.
